Educate.. Aid Children Everywhere.&#8221;<br>School Day of Non-violence and Peace is observed in schools worldwide, on January 30 to motivate tomorrow&#8217;s citizens to find non-violent solutions to conflicts.<br>This day reminds us of the teachings of pacifists and advocates of non -violence, including Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated on January 30,1948 for his beliefs. He believed in non-violent resistance against injustice. His teachings continue to inspire millions around the world, and his message that peace is achievable through non-violent action, is a food for thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind.&#8221; Mahatma Gandhi.<br>Known as the Beloved Bapu in India, Mahatma Gandhi adopted the policy of mass disobedience and non-violent resistance as weapons against the British Rule, in India and followed the principle of Ahimsa (total Non-violence) which applies to all living beings &#8211; including all animals-in ancient Indian religions. Mahatma Gandhi, successfully promoted the principle of Ahimsa to all spheres of life, in particular to politics.<br>A world in which there is &#8220;real peace&#8221; is one of unity, where all People stand together, regardless of age, gender identity, race, religion, or socio-economic background. &#8220;Peace is more than the absence of war. Peace is to accord Harmony.&#8221; Laini Taylor.<br>The Golden Rule is an universal principle that says, &#8220;Treat others the way you want to be treated.&#8221; This message is indeed simple and universal.<br>&#8220;The peace of God which transcends all understanding,&#8221; is the harmony and calmness of body, mind and spirit, trusting in the power and grace of God.<br>Jesus said, &#8220;Blessed are the peace makers.&#8221;(Mathew 5:9). Peace can be experienced only when we have received divine pardon &#8211; when we have reconciled to God and when we have the harmony within, with our fellow men and with God.<br>&#8220;Do not let the behaviour of others destroy your inner peace.&#8221; Dalai Lama.<br>Strive to resolve differences and conflicts at home, work places and in your communities peacefully through dialogue and compassion.
