If you’re looking to live a long life on earth, there’s a valuable teaching from Jesus Christ that can guide you. As recorded in Matthew 9:37 and Luke 10:2, Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” This passage suggests that those who serve Jesus faithfully and efficiently will be valued and retained on earth for a long time, as there is little work for them in heaven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To become a disciple of Jesus and reap the benefits of a long life, one must obey the Ten Commandments and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Jesus promises “fullness of life” to those who follow him, as stated in John 10:10, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
However, it’s essential to note that we shouldn’t judge individuals who pass away prematurely. As Jesus teaches in Matthew 7:1-5 and Luke 6:37-38, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.” Instead, we should focus on being good and efficient workers for Jesus, allowing him to guide us and keep us on earth as long as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To achieve this, we must remain vigilant and allow the Holy Trinity to abide in us. As Jesus says in John 15:4, “Abide in me, as I abide in you.” By observing the Commandments, receiving Holy Communion, and following the teachings of the Bible, we can foster a deep relationship with God and live a life filled with purpose and meaning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
