12th April, 2026 being a Sunday, was chosen for a day’s outing, though some couldn’t make it. We started the day after participating in the morning Mass, at around 10 a.m. from the Church. It was an hour’s journey by bus to the picnic spot. Relieved to be away from the day’s unbearable heat… Power Cut !!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As we reached our destination, we eagerly looked for some signboard or the sound of gushing water. Nothing was in sight, so, we embarked on a trail of fallen leaves, with a lot of greenery around. Wild flowers, jackfruit and cashews, tall trees and bamboos on either side, made us feel that we were all on an expedition…tracking the pathway, almost as was in The Secret 7 Series! An unique experience in the woods!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
We certainly had time to stand and stare at nature’s beauty nestled deep down the rough paths along. The trackers took it up in sportive fervor, with all the picnic bags hauled across the flowing waters. Really needed a lot of effort but the sporting spirit and the will-power to reach the spot, certainly needs to be appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After having crossed many a hurdle, rolling up and rolling down, we finally managed to get to the spot… Clear running water and the serenity of the place,was breath taking… Our four energetic little boys, water babies, couldn’t resist the temptation of getting into the water and stayed on the whole day, irrespective of anything around them. It was truly their blissful water day-out! Delicious snacks and later the sumptuous chicken biryani and raita was relished by all. Water games with music for both children and adults filled the surrounding with cheer. Yes, prizes too! The thought provoking Dumb Sharads kept every one cheerful and in the picnic mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Catechist Rhea, had her birthday celebration with the Water Melon cutting, in the cool waters, amidst loud birthday wishes and fun-filled chatter. It really added to the day’s spirited close. A Day to Remember!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cups of hot steaming tea before boarding the bus for the drive back, was a welcome refreshing treat to energize the sore limbs. All’s Well that Ends Well! Special thanks, to our parish priest, Fr. Simpliciano N. Fernandes, who made it to the picnic spot, despite the many hurdles, displaying his die-hard strength and commitment. Truly Appreciated, Fr. !!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
