Well, the new academic year 2026-2027 has just begun and the young pillars of tomorrow, right from the tiny tots to the grown up kids, have begun their activities in right earnest. We wish them nothing but the very best in moulding themselves into future successful citizens. New class, new teachers and new friends will definitely add up to a future full of fresh challenges and aspirations. An extra effort from the children, teachers and the parents will go a long way in achieving the best possible results which will be pleasing to one and all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
We also have a new Parish Priest, who has assumed charge of <\/strong>St. Sebastian Parish on 1st June ’26.A new Priest marks a profound milestone for a Parish, blending the sadness of saying goodbye to the old with the hope of welcoming the new. It requires patience and open hearts as both the Shepherd and the flock adjust to each other’s rhythms. We bid farewell to Fr. Simpliciano Nazareth Fernandes on 31\/05\/26 as he retired on superannuation after being in charge at Aquem Church for a short period of only one year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Fr. Ubaldo Fernandes, comes to Aquem after a very successful stint as Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Cavelossim. Simple, unassuming and a great lover of music, our new Parish Priest has begun his pastoral work in right earnest, seeking the goodwill and cooperation from all the parishioners. With his abundant qualities and expertise, I am sure and confident that Aquem Parish will accomplish greater glory in the days ahead and convert into a model Parish. We wish Fr. Ubaldo continued success in this new place of work and a rewarding journey ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our Parish Associations also have new teams of office-bearers, new members, new Catechists, new and young budding Altar servers, new enthusiastic Catechism children all gearing up with lots of innovative ideas ,talents and aspirations. May they all succeed and bear positive results with God’s blessings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Seeking lots of choicest blessings on one and all.
