Points Discussed In The Parish Pastoral Council Meeting Held In The Month Of June.
The meeting began with a prayer led by SCC 7 and SCC 8.
The new Parish Priest Rev Fr Ubaldo Fernandes was welcomed by the Moderator on behalf of the Executive Committee and PPC members with a floral bouquet.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and presented by the Secretary.
1. The Parish Priest informed the members about the new timings for Sunday Holy Masses and Catechism classes. It was decided that the announcement would be made in the church, and the new schedule would come into effect from 21st June 2026.
2. The Parish Priest announced that First Friday Mass and Adoration
will be started in the parish.
3. The Parish Priest announced that St. Sebastian Church will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee Anniversary of its installation. The Joint Secretary presented the proposed activities and program to be conducted from 3rd November 2026 to 3rd November 2027. He invited more ideas and suggestions. All associations were requested to actively participate and encourage parishioners to be involved in the celebrations.
Message from the President (Parish Priest): Rev Fr Ubaldo Fernandes
The Parish Priest Rev Fr Ubaldo Fernandes emphasized that Jesus is our Saviour and the foundation of our parish family. He stated that all the activities of the parish should lead us closer to Jesus, and that we must always welcome Him into our hearts and our community. He encouraged all members to work together in unity, love, and humility, actively participate in the Holy Eucharist and parish activities, and serve the parish community with compassion. Referring to the Parish Pastoral Council as the healthy branches of the Church, he highlighted their vital role in nurturing faith, fostering unity, and contributing to the growth of the parish community
Meeting ended with prayers by SCC 7 and 8 and blessings by the Parish priest.
