Abide In Me (jn 15:4-5)
Greetings in the name of Lord Jesus Christ.
It gives me great joy to write this, my first message for the July issue of Pormoll, as the newly appointed Parish Priest of Aquem Parish. I thank Almighty God for His loving guidance throughout my 34 years of Priestly Ministry in the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman.
Before coming to Aquem this June, I was blessed to serve the faithful of Holy Cross Church, Cavelossim for the past 5 years. As I begin this new Pastoral Journey among you, I look forward to knowing you, walking with you, and growing together as a Parish family rooted in Christ.
This year the theme of this Pastoral year ‘Abide in me’ are the Words of Jesus as the foundation of Christian Life. So let us remain connected to Jesus. Let us remain close to Him through Prayer, the Eucharist, reading God’s Word and loving service to others.
As your new Parish Priest, my prayer is that our parish will continue to grow as a Community of faith, unity and service. Let us support one another and deepen our relationship with Christ, and work together to build a parish that reflects His love and Mercy.
May Pormoll continue to be a source of Inspiration and Communication, helping us remain connected not only to one another but also with the Lord who is the source of all Life.
May Mary our Mother, guide us always to her Son.
