Message from the President
The President of the Parish Pastoral Council addressed the members and reminded them that we are living in challenging times. He spoke about the situations of war around the world and the rising cost of living, which has made life difficult for many. He urged all members to turn to prayer during this season, seeking God’s peace and mercy. He encouraged everyone to build a closer relationship with Jesus by speaking to Him daily and continuing faithfully in prayer. He emphasized that it is not enough to pray only once or in times of need, but that we must pray regularly, trusting that God will hear our prayers.
The President also highlighted the importance of sacrifice. He explained that self-sacrifice is the essence of holiness that brings us closer to God. He further encouraged members to be mindful of their spending by cutting down on luxuries and unnecessary expenses. During this Lenten season, he suggested making small sacrifices, saving the money in a piggy bank, and offering it to help those in need. He also appreciated the PPC members for making many sacrifices through their free service to the parish. He said that God will be pleased with their work and will bless them and their families a hundred fold.
The schedule for the following was discussed and finalized.
a) Palm Sunday
b) Confessions
c) Holy Week
d) Easter Masses and Blessing of Homes.
