Back To School

Sun dazzles at its pinnacle,
Summer breeze surges through trees,
Vegetation in full bloom,
Is frequented by bumblebees.

The Earth basking in sunlight,
Yearns for a lashing shower,
The enchilada of a season,
Monsoon shall eventually conquer.

Off the enchanted tropical path,
The school eagerly awaits,
Long-time deserted hallways,
Welcome pupils in an embrace.

Pristine uniforms and cheerful chatter,
Now adorned the formerly empty classroom,
Some grew taller and others a morsel plumper,
With a jolly hairdo they called mushroom.

Geography, Bio, Math and Literature,
Tackling all with moxie and grit,
Though the grind and hustle a dollop bumpy,
May Jesus’ light each one path lit.
