Handbook study was organized by the Ekvottachea arka comitium at St. Sebastian Church Aquem on 24th Sept at 3:30pm. There were 3 presidia present (Saude Saibin, Aquem, Boddveanchi Rannie, Aquem and Grace Saibin, Margao).
Fr. Leslie Gomes, Asst. to the Parish Priest welcomed the officers of the commitium, Bro. Alwyn Noronha and Bro. Thomee Noronha and all the members present for the study. 40 members were present for the same.
The session was divided into two parts wherein one was allotted to Bro. Alwyn and the topic was Mullave Kaide Legiao-achi Buniad.
Bro. Alwyn briefed us with the importance of the legion meeting where the Legionary formation takes place. The weekly routine of prayer, spiritual reading and discussion of the nock, allocution etc combine and create a special environment conducive to the development of personal holiness, is the main reason for joining the legion.
A ten minutes break was given and members were served with tea and snacks and then Bro. Thomee Noronha took over the second half of the session, He told that the Legion of Mary is open to all Catholics who faithfully practice their religion and are prepared to fulfill each and every duty which active membership of Legion involves. Candidates under 18 years of age can only be received by Junior presidia. No one shall be admitted as a candidate for membership of Legion of Mary until the President of the Presidium carefully enquires and has to be alert for three months on satisfactory probation period to the ranks of legionaries. A copy of the Tessera shall be given to every candidate.
The session / handbook study wounded up at 6:30pm with the vote of thanks to the officers and members present by Sera. We all were refreshed with the topics discussed.
