This celebration was held at Pilar Community House on 13 July, 2025 and was attended by our representatives, Mr. Ronny Dias and Mrs. Sarita Pinheiro.
The gathering began by signing the attendance the participants who were welcomed with delicious snacks in the Refreshment Hall. The Jubilee celebration began at 9.15 a.m. introducing the participants with a short performance by Gospel Band and warming them up with action songs. The prayer service was held at 10 a.m. with Bible readings, reflection and
response of hymns.
The highlight of the celebration was a power point presentation by Fr. Bolmax with slides and explanation on themes based on Laudato Si as under:
1) Reconnecting with nature
2) Simplicity in life style
3) Justice for the Earth and all living beings
4) Restoring the Earth
5) Building sustainable communities and
6) Anew beginning in faith and stewardship.
Fr. Bolmax’s power point presentation made powerful impact on participants who shared their views with one another in a brief discusion It was followed by a sharing on somudais by Mrs. Sera from the Grace Parish, Margao while participants exchanged views.
His Eminence, Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao presided over a solemn pontifical Mass at 11.30 a.m. with active participation by all those present getting a warm feeling of the Church as a synodal community with their Pastor. This was followed by a short play on PPC and SCC in order to drive into the hearts of the participants a touch of the life of this essential Church institutions.
The Cardinal availed of this opportunity to convey to the participants the essence and necessity of these two correlated community institutions of the Church and expressed his happiness that they are already alive and active in most Parishes in Goa.
Fr. Leo, the Executive Secretary of the Diocesan Pastoral Secretariat gave a vote of thanks that warmly concluded the Jubilee celebration of PPC’s and SCC’s.
