Crystal Miranda – Book 6A

Mother’s day
“When someone asks you where you come from, the answer is your mother.”

A mother is the one person we can always turn to in our most challenging moments. She will trust you with her eyes closed, correct you when needed, but never betray you in front of others. Her duty begins from the moment we are conceived; even the smallest mistake on her part could have life-altering consequences. Imagine the care she takes—watching what she eats, what she wears, and even what she thinks—all to ensure that nothing harms the child she’s nurturing. Her sacrifices start from the very moment we are being formed, and they continue until her last breath.

As children, we often fail to appreciate the small things she does to keep a smile on our faces. How, then, can we truly grasp the magnitude of the larger sacrifices she makes? A mother gives birth to her children and never differentiates between them, because the pain she endures is the same for each one. It’s hurtful when we accuse our parents of loving our siblings more than us. Why? Did she give you any less when you were in her womb? Was she careless? No. She gave the same amount of love to you as she did to your siblings.

There is one thing we can do for our mothers: respect them. Unfortunately, in today’s world, respect often seems to have lost its value. But respect should not only be given to our own mothers, but also to the mothers who raised the ones we love, those who selflessly share their children with us. Imagine a mother placing her entire heart into your hands—that is the essence of a mother’s love.

We may be more educated than our mothers, but their values and wisdom, gained through life experience rather than degrees, will always surpass what we can learn from books alone. A mother sacrifices her life without a second thought about the changes to her body and her future. She gives us life, and no amount of money could ever repay that sacrifice.

In the end, a mother’s love is unmatched, and the least we can do is to respect, honor, and cherish her every day. Because, without her, we would not be who we are today.

Happy mother’s day to all the lovely mothers out there!!!

With love
