The PPC meeting began with a prayer led by SCC 14 and 15, followed by a welcome by the Moderator on behalf of the Parish Clergy and Executive Committee. Rev. Fr. Simpliciano Nazareth Fernandes emphasized the spiritual significance of Advent and encouraged members to keep Jesus at the centre of all celebrations. The Parish Priest highlighted the forthcoming implementation of the new liturgy from Ash Wednesday and introduced the diocesan booklet Misache Somorombnnechi Manddavoll for parish-wide instruction. He also reiterated that liturgical norms and Church teachings on faith and morals must be upheld.
The PPC Constitution (Point 6) was read, after which the previous minutes were approved. Reports under Matters Arising included the successful Youth Day celebration featuring Mass, activities, and spiritual inputs from Redemptorist priests, and the Parish participation in the St. Francis Xavier Novena Mass at Old Goa. It was observed that several parishioners who had registered failed to attend. The Christmas programme was extensively discussed. Aid will be distributed to 25 adopted SSVP families on 18th December at 5 p.m. Serenading will take place on 19th and 20th December. PPC members will handle the liturgy for the Christmas Midnight Mass, along with arrangements for the distribution of coffee and cake. The SCC Christmas programmes at the Church were scheduled for 26th and 27th December. The Special Masses during Christmas season would be celebrated as follows: 26th Dec – for the sick and 28th Dec for infants. The Parish Family Day is set for 29th December and the Dinner Coupons were distributed.
Updates on Kantaram Lharam included the need for volunteers and the launch of the second promo and Instagram page. Progress on the Christmas Crib and details of the Christmas hamper draw were also
shared.
The meeting concluded with a prayer and blessing by the Parish Priest.
