‘By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.'(Proverbs 24:3-4)
‘Family Day,’ is celebrated to foster stronger family ties, encourage reflection on the importance of family, and express gratitude. This day highlights the value of spending time together, which is essential for emotional well-being and mental health. The mission of the family and the society, complement each other, for Good families can build a Good Society!
The Holy Family of Nazareth, must always be our inspiration in maintaining the sanctity of our homes. Pray always, that the Holy Family of Nazareth, makes us once more mindful of the sacredness and inviolability of the family, and its beauty in God’s plan.
Having a place to go is a home. Having someone to love is a family and having both is a blessing. In truth, a family is what you make it. Your time, care and love, helps create strong bonds and memories to cherish for a lifetime. Good values, love, humility and forgiveness are very much needed to build a home, an investment that every family member imbibes and grows up with. The happiest moments of our lives are those that we have all spent together at home, with our parents, siblings and grandparents. Family makes the house, a home. Family is everything !
Family is like the branches of a tree.. We all grow up in different directions but our roots remain as one.
Families provide emotional warmth, security, and a sense of belonging, crucial for personal development and well-being. They are instrumental in shaping our beliefs and behaviour, offering guidance and encouragement as we navigate life’s challenges. The family is indeed, ‘God’s greatest masterpiece!’
The Holy Father, especially emphasises the primary role of God and faith in family life, and the crucial importance of regular family prayer to draw on God’s grace for strength, love, joy and unity within the home. Blessed is the family who delights in the Word of the Lord, and meditates on it daily. ‘The family is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in its season.’ (Psalm 1)
A family is the domestic church, where the mission of Christian life is carried out. Our church, is a ‘Temple of Christian Faith’ and every Christian home takes back the richness of God’s love and grace, to their family, wherein the seeds of love and harmony are sown in the hearts and minds of one’s family.
So together, all of us, as parishioners, religious men and women, children and youth, wholeheartedly contribute to the development of the society and thereby share in the spiritual life and mission of the Church.
Let Our Family, be a circle of Strength and Love, which is founded on Faith and bonded by Love.
Kept ‘Together Forever,’ by God.
To sum up, We may not have it all together, but together we have it all… A Family ‘the place where life begins and love never ends.’
