Pormoll Editorial December 2019

No matter what has happened to you in the past, or what is going on in your life right now, it has no power to keep you from having an amazingly good future if you will walk by faith in God. We all know our heavenly father loves us. His love has no bounds and this He has proved by sending His only son, Jesus Christ, to this sinful world to redeem us. Its over two thousand years since Jesus was born to our Virgin Mother Mary in that little manger in Bethlehem. It is this first coming of our Lord on this Earth, that we celebrate as Christmas, year after year. After His Birth, Jesus completed His mission on earth – Birth, Death and Resurrection and was finally lifted back into His Father’s arms in heaven. But God has promised us a second coming of Jesus Christ, but this time to judge the living and the dead.

When will this happen? Where and how will this take place? Well these are all questions with no ready answers. The one and only certainty is the Second coming. This is a true test for our faith in God – believe in Him and await the coming of our Lord. Be prepared to receive Him at any point of time. God has foretold us that Jesus will come again and through our faith we await the coming with utmost patience and belief. It is said that patience is not simply the ability to wait but it is how we behave while we are waiting. Jesus will want us to be pure of heart, when He knocks at our door, ready to follow Him.

We are already in the season of Advent, symbolically preparing for the coming of Jesus, for the birth of Jesus. Another Birthday of Jesus, celebrating the joyous moment which took place thousands of years ago. Let us enjoy and share the Christmas spirit of Love and peace with the human race as per God’s desires.

Let us live for the moment with a pure heart which can welcome Jesus with open arms. None of us are sure of wishing each other at this time of the year, one year hence.

Will this Christmas be the second coming of Jesus? Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell.

Until we meet again.
