Way To Go…

I always wonder, ‘what’s the point in earning and working relentlessly and not exploring the world?’ Besides living my so called ordinary life, the only thing on my mind is travelling. Yeah I’m a teacher by profession and I love my job, but at the same time I’m also an ardent travel lover. I guess I’ve been struck hard by the travel God!

The world has repeatedly intrigued and amazed me from time to again. There’s so much, waiting to be explored out there. Ever since I’ve gained consciousness as a living being, I’ve wanted to travel the world. And I’ve begun to set my trail. In last two years I have visited four countries and now there’s nothing that can stop me!

Travelling is, for the soul, like how exercise is for the body. After a long exhausting year, I believe every soul deserves this therapy. If I had to choose one destination that has had a profound impact on me, would be the Island of Mauritius. Oh my, it’s a paradise on Earth. It was like a perfect getaway from the sprawling city life into the arms of nature. The tiny island portrays a spectacular interplay of sandy beaches, turquoise water, quiet countryside, pine forests, enchanting wildlife and welcoming locals.

This trip made me realize how tiny and insignificant we are. I was mesmerized and enriched by the people and their culture. It has made me more tolerant and respectful towards others and at the same time made me appreciate what we have, back here. The nature so to say never fails to amuse us. I can vouch on this that travelling makes you grow as a person and will never make you feel sad for spending those extra bucks. Every place you visit has something to offer to your pile of life’s experiences. For me, travelling has opened up a window into a new world that is elating, relaxing and fascinating.

There is this famous quote by Mark Twain: ‘twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.’ Cliché as this may sound; travel will transform your life for better. So get out there and hit the road.
