On behalf of the Parish Pastoral Council, it is with great joy and gratitude that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our beloved Church Magazine ‘Pormoll’ on the momentous occasion of its 25th anniversary. Over the past quarter of a century, this publication has been a vital form of communication, connecting our parish community, spreading the Word of God, and celebrating the life and mission of our Church.
It is also heartening to note that we are celebrating the Jubilee of the Church Magazine coinciding with the commencement of the Jubilee year 2025 from 24th December 2024 with the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Our Parish has been fortunate to have a committed team in ‘Pormoll’ in the form of Priest Coordinators, Editors, Writers, Designers who have transitioned through the times and stayed relevant all these 25 years.
The ‘Pormoll’ has shared in the communion building goal of the Parish Pastoral Council which is the main Pastoral Body of the Parish, representing all sections of the People of God in the Parish and meant to function as the Principal form of collaboration, dialogue and discernment at the Parish. We are happy to note that the Church Magazine has aptly played its role as a communion builder.
Throughout these 25 years, the magazine has consistently reflected the core values of our parish faithfully documenting the stories, milestones, and events that have shaped our parish life. It has been a faithful witness to our journey of faith, offering both spiritual guidance and a sense of unity, drawing us closer as a community of faithful. It has provided a platform for parishioners to share their personal stories, experiences, and reflections, offering inspiration to all who read it. It has played a pivotal role in bringing out writing skills among our parishioners thus enriching many in its journey. It is also noteworthy that the magazine is distributed free of cost to all our Parishioners.
The Church Magazine has not only chronicled the past but has also looked towards the future with a vision of continuing to enrich and engage our community. It has embraced new technologies, making the transition to digital formats, and ensuring that our message reaches both younger and older generations alike.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all the unsung heroes for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the mission of the Church and have made this publication an indispensable resource for us all.
As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, we look forward to the continued success of the Church Magazine in the years to come. Once again, congratulations to the Church Magazine ‘Pormoll’ on this incredible achievement. We are grateful for all the ways it has served us and look forward to many more years of Fragrance in the form of prayers and reflections.
With blessings and gratitude,
The Parish Pastoral Council
