GUIDELINES FROM GOD
The New Year 2019 is already one-month old. As usual a majority of the resolutions made, must be dumped on the wayside, to be picked up only when another New Year comes by. I believe that if we follow God, our heavenly Father’s guidelines which He has given us, there would be no need of any resolutions. These guidelines are provided to us in the Bible – read it and you will find them. I will highlight ten guidelines which if followed, will remind us of God’s love every day.
QUIT WORRYING: We keep worrying even for a small reason. We forget our loving God, who takes care of us. Place your burdens on Him and see the difference.
PUT IT ON THE LIST: Gather all your worries and put them on the list… not your list, but God’s list. Turn them over to him. God, as we all know, can handle anything and everything, even before we tell Him.
TRUST HIM: Have total trust in God who will solve all our problems. Children’s problems, financial problems, emotional problems, every possible problem has a solution with God. Only requirement is our trust in Him.
LEAVE IT ALONE: Many a times, we feel lighthearted and relieved, not because we have overcome some hurdles but only because we have shifted our burdens onto God’s list, who takes care of them. Leave them wherever they are under God’s care or else the problems will resurface.
TALK TO GOD: In our daily busy schedules, we forget our way & keep fretting. Talk to God often. Talk to Him daily about your family, your friends. Let God be a part of your daily routine. Prayer is your conversation with God, who is longing to talk to us.
HAVE FAITH: Have total faith in God as He knows what He is doing. He is in control over us, watching every step we take with utmost care.
SHARE: God has blessed us with so many things, big and small. Share them with the less fortunate ones. Share your laughter, your tears, most of all share your faith with them. Do not leave them to yourself. Love is sharing.
BE PATIENT: Please do not be impatient with God. Wait on Him and have trust in His timing. He knows when the time is right to accede to your request.
BE KIND: God loves each one of us equally. Many may not be handsome, rich, intelligent like us, but still we need to love them, get along with them, and forgive them when at fault only for the love of God. Let’s not forget, it would be boring if we were all identical with each other.
LOVE YOURSELF: We have been created to love and to be loved. Love everyone around you, but first love yourself. Our loving God has a Heartache when He sees us not loving ourselves. We are all special to Him, created in His likeness. Let us make an effort to follow these guidelines from our Bible. I’m sure and certain they will bring in lasting changes in our lives.
