Editorial – Jan 2022

We are moving into the New Year, 2022 with a lot of hope and expectations and of course full faith in God. May this transition bring lots of happiness to all of us by being able to achieve all our dreams and all the expected results.
After the turbulent, scary and most harrowing times caused by the deadly virus, the entire world is yearning for solace and a healthy turnaround. Looking back at the eventful year gone by, we need to thank God for our own survival till date. So many of our family members and friends have been snatched away from our midst. Due to the enforced restrictions and guidelines, we failed to get even a last glimpse of some of those unfortunate ones.

Additionally the present day absence of a few such people in their homes or offices, gives us the rude shock, that they are no longer with us, People’s dreams were shattered in big measure, both emotionally and financially. With the closure of business activity, loss of jobs was inevitable, leading to crisis situations all over. We have been fortunate enough to have survived and overcome these worst trials of our lives. We need to remind ourselves that we are all pilgrims in this world and our journey is ongoing. We are all together in a queue but the fact remains that we can neither jump the queue nor fall behind. Each one’s place, date and time is determined by God Himself and nobody has any say in it. Let us hope and pray that the worst is left behind us and the New Year brings us more happiness all around with good health, harmony and success to one and all. Many of us are habituated to make New Year resolutions as setting worthy resolutions can help us get off to a good start. Ideally, making changes and living the way you’ve always wanted, is the right approach to achieve all the goals and desires. Let us be positive and motivate ourselves to make 2022 our best year yet!

Our Parish bulletin, ‘PORMOLL’ has completed 22 years of its existence. It’s been a long journey which started in the year 1999 and has survived due to the help and support from you, our parishioners. We are indebted to all of you and look forward to your continued support.

Hoping that your New Year is filled with success, good health, prosperity and happiness. A very Happy New Year 2022 to you and all the members of your family. Have an optimistic New Year!!!
Until we meet again.
