My dear friends
And the show goes on and on, giving no respite whatsoever. The scary feelings in each one’s mind linger on with an uncertain tomorrow. Who will the next victim be? At whose door this COVID disease knock next? How long this grim and war- like situation continue to haunt us? Many unanswered questions for which we have no ready answers. It spares none- the rich and the poor, the ugly and the beautiful, sees no caste, creed or religion, yes it can strike all and sundry. Our priests, Church leaders, political heads, MLAs, ministers and even our State Chief Minister have tested positive for this virus. Although some have succumbed to the attack, many have courageously fought and recovered with God’s help and blessings. We need to have Faith in our heavenly Father and Our Lady and negotiate these tough situations. Hope is a great way of healing because hope creates courage and helps us to overcome obstacles. It has been seen that hope has the ability to help people heal faster and easier. Let us pray to God to help us face these trying times courageously by following the instructions issued by our Church and the Government. Let us continue to believe in ourselves and our ability to tide over these most difficult moments with God by our side. Let us also look around us and wherever possible lend a helping hand, in whatever way feasible, to those in urgent need. We also need to spare a thought and pray for the safety and well-being of the doctors, nurses and the front-line workers, working tirelessly in the Hospitals and Care centers.
All of us eagerly look forward to our Birthdays, in order to celebrate and expect a few gifts on the occasion. We are celebrating the Nativity of our heavenly Mother on 8th September. As we rejoice on this day, what gift can we offer her on her Birthday? She herself has said,”Do whatever HE tells you”. Well, on this day let’s promise her that ‘”We will do”‘ accordingly…we will do what Jesus expects us to do. This will be the Best gift to our Mother Mary on her Birthday.
Today is also observed as Mother’s Day- to show our appreciation and love towards mother’s. I salute all the mothers on this happy day, dedicated to them and pray to God to give eternal rest to those mothers who have left for their heavenly abode.
I also wish all the Teachers of our Parish and else where, a Happy Teachers’ Day on 5th September.
Until we meet again, take care and stay safe.
