JUNE’S PARTY

June threw a party,
The raindrops in hundreds came,
The thunder, the lightening, the mighty winds,
Green leaves of every name.

The landscape was a carpet
Of everything so grand,
Blades of grass led the dancing,
The crashing waves – the band.

Snails peeked out in wonder,
The toads let out a crescendo,
Mother Nature secretly smiled
While fireflies cast a halo.

With every clap of colossal thunder,
The earth struck a pose,
Flashes of lightening captured the moment,
Petrichor from the ground arose.
