REPORT OF ACTIVITIES FROM JUNE TO JULY 2019

  • 10/ 06/ 19 – World Ocean Day :Teacher brought out the importance of observing the day so as to raise awareness and to make students realize the role oceans play in our life and in all the aquatic animals present in it. She also spoke on the need of protecting it.

  • 12/ 06/ 19 – World Day Against Child Labour: Teacher along with the students of Std III put forth the importance of development of children. She focused on the theme “Children shouldn’t work in fields but on dreams” to make them aware of the underprivileged children all over the world being exploited.
  • 13/ 06/ 19 – Feast of St. Anthony: A prayer service was conducted by the TICCAS as a part of the celebration of the feast.
  • 14/ 06/ 19 – Father’s Day: Teacher spoke to the students on the importance of a father in our life. She said that a child needs a dad as much as a mother. She also told them what sacrifices a father does for his family. An activity was organized where students made cards for their fathers.
  • 21/ 06/ 19 – International Yoga Day: Teacher highlighted the importance of practicing yoga and how it benefits one’s health. She also taught students a few simple asanas. She encouraged them to practice yoga daily.
  • 22/ 06/ 19 – Inaugural Mass: the Inaugural Mass for the academic year 2019 -20 was held on the theme for the year “Go and Do Likewise”. The meaning of the theme was explained to the students in detail.
  • 24/ 06/ 19 – Feast of St. John the Baptist:  The TICCAS informed the students the importance of this day in the Catholic Church and the tradition being followed in Goa. A kopel competition was held for the students wherein all participated with great joy.

  • 26/ 06/ 19 – Anti Drugs Day: Teacher explained the difference and effects of the pharmaceutical and psychoactive drugs with the help of a PPT presentation.
  • 28/ 06/ 19 – Sacred Heart: A prayer was recited during the assembly.
  • 28/ 06/ 19 – Talk on Cancer: Laxmi Nair a representative of an NGO; Child Help Foundation spoke on the causes and prevention of Cancer.
  • 1/ 07/ 19 – Doctor’s Day: Teacher told the students the importance of this day which is dedicated to the legendary physician Dr. B.C Roy and to pay tribute to the whole medical profession thereby highlighting the value of doctors in our lives.
