We all appreciate the vital role that teacher’s play in shaping the future, but do we really know why we celebrate Teacher’s Day? Teacher’s Day is celebrated to honour the memory of India’s first Vice President Radhakrishnan and to commemorate the importance of teachers in our lives.

A teacher is a friend, a guide who holds our hands, opens our mind and touches our heart. Teaching is the most influential job in the world. Teachers are known to shape the mind of youngsters and impart good values and turn them into responsible citizens.
