My first day at School

I was filled with excitement as I wondered what my First Day at School would be – new books, new friends, new teachers, new classroom and to crown it all the new season!

Waking up earlier than otherwise I rushed with the routine to be early to school. To my surprise the school was all decked up with the words ‘WELCOME to the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL’. What Joy! It was a different air! Everyone around appeared cheerful as if longing  to be back to our second home to learn, to play, to laugh and acquire the needed values to be imparted to us by our much loved teachers. The school assembly was meaningful with the prayer for a fruitful and joyful year ahead.

Report of St. Sebastian School, Aquem,for the month of June 2018

World Day Against Child Labour (12.06.2018)
World Day against child labour was observed on 12th June in our school. The purpose of this programme was to bring awareness on child labour to the children and the laws enacted by the government to eliminate child labour.
Feast of St. Anthony of Padua (13.06.2018)
The feast of St. Anthony was celebrated on 13th June 2018. The importance of celebrating this feast in the school is to conscientize students about the importance of the Saint for the role he played during his life time in spreading the word of God and in his miracles.

SEBASTIAN SCHOOL REPORT (September – October 2017)

  1. HINDI DAY
    It was celebrated on 14th Sept, 2017. Tr. Reema Angle explained to the students that Hindi Diwas is celebrated on this day as in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India had adopted Hindi written in Devanagri script as the official language of the Republic of India. Beohar Rajendra Sinha was a notable person in this movement.
  2. GOA QUIZ
    Inter-class Quiz on Goa was held on 16th Sept, 2017. There was enthusiastic preparation and participation of six students from each class. The proceedings of the quiz entailed three rounds for each class, wherein the final round was a visual round which was enjoyed by the students. Prize winners were:-

ST. SEBASTIAN SCHOOL REPORT

  •  Teachers Programme: It was conducted for the teachers of St. Sebastian School from 18th to 23rd During this programme – Science, Maths, History and English demo lessons were given by the teachers. The Administrator also highlighted the important points about framing the questions and about preparing a lesson plan. This programme was conducted to improve the teaching skills of the teachers.
  • Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration: It was celebrated on 23rd August 2017. A small statue of Lord Ganesh along with fruits, sweets and the aarthi thali was placed on a table which was beautifully decorated. Tr. Reema explained the importance of all the items, which are offered to Lord Ganesh. The Administrator advised the students to be cautious while burning fireworks. She also told them to be more environment friendly and use Ganesh idols made of clay. Sweets were given to all the students on this occasion sponsored by the parents.

SEBASTIAN SCHOOL REPORT

  1. World No Tobacco Day: It was observed in the school on 9th June 2017. Teacher Reema explained to the students the harmful effect of smoking and different diseases caused due to smoking particularly cancer.
  2. Feast of St. Anthony: It was celebrated on 13th After the assembly a talk was given by the Administrator on St. Anthony. A picture of St. Anthony was shown. She stressed on his deep faith in Jesus and the importance of lily flower and the bible.
  3. Inaugural Mass: It was held on 17th The mass was celebrated by Fr. Gregorio Cruz. He welcomed the students and blessed them and the teachers. The student’s choir was well trained for the Mass.
