Report on First Holy Communion

In our Parish, the First Holy Communion was held on Sunday, 13th Jan ’19. 18 children received Jesus for the first time into their hearts. The Eucharistic celebration at 8:45 am, was celebrated by our Parish Priest Fr. Andrew Pereira and Asst. Parish Priest Fr. Gregory Cruz. The theme for the mass was “Jezuk Kallzant Gheum-ia, Mogachim Bhurgim Zaum-ia”.
The sermon was preached by Fr. Gregory and the children were explained the significance of the Holy Communion. The mass was organised by the communion students along with their Parents and the Catechists. After the mass a few pictures were clicked in the Church followed by a short programme where there was cutting of the cake, distribution of certificates and snacks to the recipients.
I would like to congratulate all the 18 children who have experienced Jesus in their hearts for the first time and a big thank you to Fr. Andrew, Fr. Gregory, all my catechists and the parents for all their support and also for helping the children prepare themselves to receive Jesus.
