As I was scrolling through you tube one relaxed evening, a black and white video which appeared on the side suddenly caught my attention, since black and white usually indicates some nostalgic recording from the archives. On opening the video to my surprise and delight it was the video of the highlights of the 1975 world cup hockey final which India won beating Pakistan in the finals. This brought back a gush of memories of that magical summer afternoon on 15th march 1975, at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when India was crowned King of the hockey world and which I consider to be India’s finest sporting hour and triumph even more than the 1983 cricket world cup triumph.

Girl Child
The very fact that the girl child has become a topic of discussion and debate indicates that there something different in the case of a girl child than the rest of the human species, or is there?
One of the many reasons this topic is being discussed is the deeply disturbing statistics that came to light in the year 2011, wherein the national Census 2011 revealed the shocking decline of child sex ratio (i.e. ratio of the number of females vs every 1000 males) –from from the year 2001 where there were 927 females to 1000 males, to only 914 females in the year 2011.

Importance of having a girl child
It is very clear that a girl child is always a blessing. Not just for her parents but also for the society. Girl child is a reason for Continuation of Life in this world. A small girl child starts her life as a daughter, a sister later on in life a wife, a mother and finally a grandmother. 7th August 2018 was a memorable day for us AQUEMCARS. We were told to host the Deanery Pastors day at Saint Sebastian Church, Aquem.
